Flowwow donates AED 65,000 to support breast cancer patients in the UAE
To mark Pink October, Flowwow, a UAE-based global gifting marketplace, is joining hands with Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP), advocating for health and providing holistic care and support on the healing journey. Within the partnership Flowwow committed to donate 65,000 AED to raise awareness about prevention and support women facing breast cancer.
In the UAE, breast cancer remains the most common cancer among women, accounting for 36.9% of all cancer cases, according to UAE National Cancer Registry. Around a quarter of cases are detected in women under 40, highlighting the significance of early screening and prevention. It makes both treatment and prevention equally important — especially through community efforts in raising awareness that diagnostics are key to fighting the disease effectively. Flowwow’s collaboration with FOCP aims to inspire every woman to prioritize self-care and make it a part of her life.
For the next three months, Flowwow has featured a curated «Pink October» selection, available on the homepage on its web and app. The company plans to sell over 4,000 items from local sellers — donating AED 15 from each purchase, or at least AED 65,000 in total, to FOCP. The whole sum will be allocated to individuals healing from breast cancer, emotional support, and also spreading awareness and cancer prevention by the non profit organization. Through this initiative, Flowwow engages its users to contribute, turning a simple act of gifting into a way to become a part of this mission and support those facing breast cancer.
«Flowwow’ mission has always been about connection between people, local sellers, and communities. Collaboration with FOCP for Pink October is a natural continuation of these efforts to turn everyday purchases into powerful gestures and acts of care, making positive change easier for every shopper», — Slava Bogdan, CEO at Flowwow, commented.
«At Friends of Cancer Patients, we believe that community wellbeing is built through shared responsibility. Corporate collaborations like this one with Flowwow are essential in helping us expand our outreach, strengthen early detection efforts, and provide continuous care for those affected by cancer», — said Aisha Al Mulla, Director of Friends of Cancer Patients.
Behind this collaboration stands Flowwow’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility. Earlier this year, the company joined FOCP for another charity action to support patients during the sacred time of Ramadan and Eid-Al-Fitr. Flowwow aims to continue this partnership consistently, making charity actions and community well-being a lasting part of its strategy.
